Méribel has an array of bars and restaurants to suit all, whether you're looking for wild aprés ski, traditional Savoyard food or a tranquil glass of delicious red during your stay at Apartment La Voûte then you can find it all here.  Here are a few of our favourites:

STRAIGHT OFF THE SLOPES...

LA FOLIE DOUCE Just down from the Saulire Express 1 and right on the slopes.  It’s expensive, but AMAZING. Be there between 3 and 5pm or be square!

LE ROND POINT Voted one of the best Après bars in the world and usually the first stop at the end of a days skiing.  Located right on the slopes, the Rond Point is well known for its crowd surfing antics, superb value happy hours and its lively and enthusiastic bar staff.  The 'Ronnie' is great for people watching and dancing in ski boots - ski down from here back to Méribel in the dark once après finishes at 7pm.  The the band The Feeling have played and still play here on many occasions!  The ‘Ronnie’ one of our favourites!

LODGE DU VILLAGE By the Golf chair lift in Méribel Village.  Great live music every other night.  This intimate and welcoming bar has an electric après atmosphere.  Crowd surfing and toffee vodka drinking is common place here.  With drinks considerably cheaper here than rest of Meribel! The Lodge is family-friendly and great for all generations.

EVENING FOOD...

TOP END

CHEZ KIKI -  Fr +33 4 79 08 66 68

This is the most famous restaurant in Méribel.  Monsieur KiKi himself still cooks the steaks here to perfection over the fire; they are infamous in Méribel and absolute melt in mouth.  An excellent choice for the carnivores amongst you, but not one for the veggies as choices are limited. You will need an elasticated wallet!

CRO MAGNON -  Fr +33 4 79 00 57 38

A small and atmospheric Savoyard restaurant at Le Plateau, near the top of Méribel.  The Cro Magnon offers great service and food (and plenty of it!) at reasonable prices.

MIDDLE RANGE

LE MARTAGON -  Fr +33 4 79 00 56 29

Located in Le Raffort just ten minutes walk up the valley from Apartment La Voûte, or two minutes on the free ski bus.  A beautiful restaurant with great food and amazing steaks!  Great for family and friends.  There is a big open fire/ oven so it is always warm and the prices are reasonable for Méribel.  One of our favourites!!

LE REFUGE -  Fr +33 4 79 08 61 97

Méribel’s most popular eatery, always full and buzzing.  Great pizzas, steaks and pasta right in the heart of Méribel, ideal for families, or party goers who want a quick bite to eat before hitting the bars!

LE FROMAGERIE -  Fr +33 4 79 08 55 48

Traditional Savoyard food - Fondue, Raclette etc only really for the cheese lovers amongst you.  It is the best Fondue in Méribel and the delicious charcuterie only stops coming when you're fill to the brim!  Sample true local cuisine in the centre of Méribel, but beware of the smell of cheese!

LA KOUISINA -  Fr +33 4 79 08 89 23

Good quality and traditional Savoyard food.  It's always busy and bustling, not small and intimate.  Try not to sit near a fire whilst dining, you might self-combust!

LA TAVERNE -  Fr +33 4 79 00 36 18

Downstairs at La Taverne, the restaurant offers traditional Savoie food as well as some fusion cooking.  Ideal if you want to be in the centre of town and right in the action for after supper.

AUX PETITS OIGNONS -  Fr +33 4 79 08 64 62

Good quality, affordable French and fusion cuisine in a very cute and friendly restaurant in Méribel 1600.

LA TSARETTA -  Fr +33 4 79 08 61 00

Situated in Les Allues which is 25 minutes walk down from Chandon, or five minutes by the free ski bus.  A variety of international foods are on offer at this lovely restaurant in Les Allues, the focal point for locals.  Eating down here gives you the opportunity to see Les Allues, the original village in this valley and home to most of Méribel's year round residents.  La Tsaretta offers a complimentary shuttle bus from you chalet for those eating in the restaurant.

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT...

BAR AU VIN Without a doubt one of Meribel's finest.  This tiny, French run wine bar is discreet for a romantic drink or a chance to experience 'real' France and sample some of the most delicious and inexpensive wines.  Run by Mag, she will help chose the right wine for you and serve you plates of Savoyard cheese and meats to soak it all up.  You won't want to leave.

BAROMETER Well located in the centre of town, Barometer is a comfortable nice bar and serves the famous Mustzig Old Lager.  It's very easy to find yourself propped on a bar stool here until the early hours.

FIFTY 50 A cosy bar with a cosy atmosphere if you want to escape the mayhem of some of Méribel's other watering holes.  They serve sushi and also have a great electric shock game!  One of our favourites!

LA POSTE You feel like you could be in a bar in Paris here.  This smart wine bar is the complete opposite to anything else you'll find in Méribel.  It’s beautifully furnished and nice for a treat to get away from the masses.  It's swanky and funky with DJs most nights and a popular Mojito Happy Hour to help you through après.

LA TAVERNE Good prices, live bands, open-mic nights, pub grub and sunny terraces over-looking the hustle and bustle of the town.

EVOLUTION This is a cosy and welcoming bar, made for good coffees and reading the paper in the mornings or afternoons, and for a more chilled evening drink, some open-mic or even live comedy.  Does a cracking breakfast and serves good evening grub.

LA TSARETTA Situated in Les Allues which is 25 minutes walk down from Chandon, or five minutes by the free ski bus, this is a favourite with the local year-rounders.  If you want a change of scene from Méribel centre then it's worth the visit with live bands playing, great pizzas and cheaper drinks.

CLUBBING...

DICK’S T BAR The infamous Alpine nightclub - pricey, but definitely worth a visit in the early hours!
